The 9th edition of the Jaipur International Film Festival in India has screened seven Iranian movies in different sections.
The festival’s website recently announced that ‘Arvand’, ‘Without Eve’, ‘Jamshid Aria’, ‘Owsia’, ‘Beyond the End’, ‘Kech’, and ‘Inversion’ went on the event’s screen.
The event’s Short Fiction section screened the 16-minute ‘Without Eve’, directed by Komeil Rouhan; the 4-minute ‘Jamshid Aria’, directed by Arsha Aqdasi; the 28-minute ‘Beyond the End’, directed by Arshiya Zarrin; and the 15-minute ‘Kech’ (Daughter); directed by Mehrdad Hasani.
The 30-minute ‘Owsia’ (Darkened Water), directed by Alireza Dehqan, went on the Short Documentary screen, while the 84-minute ‘Inversion’, directed by Behnam Behzadi, and the 87-minute ‘Arvand’, directed by Pourya Azarbayjani, were featured in the Feature Fiction section.
The Jaipur International Film Festival, the world's fastest growing film festival, is held every year in January or February in the Indian city of Jaipur.
“Launched in January 2009, Jaipur International Film Festival (JIFF) became an expanding establishing name in organizing world film festival every year in Rajasthan,” according to the festival announcement forums.
The purpose of the film festival is to promote new movie makers, exchange of knowledge, information, ideas and culture between India and other nations in context of their social and cultural ethos, the forums also noted.
The 9th edition of the Jaipur International Film Festival (JIFF) was held on January 7-11, 2017.
